News March 4, 2008 Darcy Ogada was recently appointed Africa Program Director of the Global Owl Project. In this capacity she hopes to increase the knowledge and protection of African owls through research, conservation and education projects on the continent. Obviously this will be a big task given the dearth of information on many African owl species and the cultural taboos connected with owls. A major aspect of her work will be fundraising for various projects if you’d like to help, any assistance would be greatly appreciated and wisely spent, contact the Global Owl Project (www.globalowlproject.com).
